Project Health Advocates is a dedicated branch of the organization that creates and implements interactive programs centered on members’ health passions and current wellness trends on campus. The branch currently includes 19 members from a variety of majors and class years who are committed to helping students make safe, informed choices throughout their wellness journeys.
This spring, Advocates hosted four tabling events across campus:
- Exploring Healthy Relationships – a trivia activity that tested students’ knowledge of healthy relationship dynamics
- Move and Learn on the Quad – which highlighted how simple movement can improve mood and energy
- Walk Smart, Drive Smart – focusing on pedestrian awareness in busy campus areas
- Real Bodies, Real Health – encouraging body appreciation through positive affirmations.
Each event provided students with educational handouts and promotional items such as shirts, cups, pens, sharpies, snacks, and cellphone wallets. Throughout this semester, Advocates engaged with approximately 172 students across campus.
Many students stopped by not only to learn more about the wellness topics but also to ask how they could get involved with Project Health, showing a growing interest in peer-led health advocacy at UA.
